Is the free trial really free?
Yes, completely free. You get full access to all Hoist features for 14 days with no credit card required. There are no hidden fees or obligations.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
After your trial ends, you can choose to subscribe at our early adopter rate of $80/month + GST, locked in for 6 months (regular price $140/month). Every plan includes 3 users. If you decide not to continue, your account simply becomes inactive - no automatic charges.
Do I get access to all features during the trial?
Yes. Your free trial includes full access to every feature: work orders, customer database, invoicing, Xero integration, rego lookups, scheduling, reporting, and more. Nothing is locked and there is no upgrade to buy.
Can I import my existing data?
Yes. Send us your customer and vehicle list from a spreadsheet or another system and we will bring it across and set Hoist up for you, free for a limited time. Get in touch at the start of your trial so there is time to take a clean export from your old system.
Will my team actually use it?
That is the real test, which is why the trial runs on your own jobs rather than a demo account. Hoist works in a browser on the phone in the pit, the tablet at the counter and the desktop in the office, so there is nothing for technicians to install. Most workshops are writing job cards the same day they sign up.
What happens to my data if I do not continue?
Your trial runs on the same platform as every paying workshop, with the same protections - it is not a lesser environment. Because we do not take a card to start, there are no payment details to store. If you decide not to continue, your account becomes inactive, and you can ask us to delete your data.
What support do I get during the free trial?
The same NZ-based support paying customers get. Trial users can email us, and we help with onboarding so you get a fair look at the product rather than working it out alone.
