How much does workshop management software cost in New Zealand?
Hoist is $140/month + GST. It's one flat rate with every feature included - no tiers and no hidden fees. Your plan includes 3 users, and extra users are $10/month each.
I signed up on early bird pricing - what happens to my rate?
Nothing changes for you. Early bird pricing closed on 31 August 2026, and every workshop that locked it in keeps that rate for the full period it was promised. When it ends your plan moves to the standard rate, and we give you at least 30 days' notice before any price change to an existing subscription.
Is Hoist available now?
Yes - Hoist is live and you can sign up today at my.hoist.nz, at $140/month + GST.
What features are included in Hoist workshop software?
Hoist includes job cards and work orders, the customer and vehicle database, invoicing and payments, rego lookups, Xero integration, stock and parts, technician scheduling, reporting and analytics, two-way customer texting, a connected mailbox, deferred work tracking, and it works on any device. Every feature is included at one price - no premium tiers, nothing held back for an upgrade.
Does Hoist integrate with Xero accounting software?
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Invoices go across to Xero on their own and customer details stay in step, so nothing gets typed twice.
How many users are included, and can I add more?
Every plan includes 3 users. Additional users are $10/month each, added from your account settings, with no limit on how many you can add.
Is there a contract or can I cancel anytime?
There's no long-term contract. You can cancel anytime, no penalties. We'd rather earn your business every month than lock you into one.
Is GST included in the pricing?
All prices shown are exclusive of GST. GST gets added at checkout for New Zealand customers, and you'll get a GST invoice for your records.
What support is included with Hoist?
Live chat, phone and email, included for every customer at no extra cost. You get a person in New Zealand in your own time zone, not a ticket number and a queue. Moving from another system is free too: we do the migration for you and help you get set up.
How do rego lookups work?
Type a rego and Hoist pulls the details straight from official NZ vehicle records: make, model, year, VIN and more. Cached lookups cost 5c, live lookups cost 24c. No plate? Enter it once by VIN or chassis number instead.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data stays accessible for 30 days after cancellation, and you can request a full export at any time. After 30 days it's removed from our active systems, and from backups within 90 days.
