Common questions

Do Hoist invoices meet IRD’s requirements?

Can I invoice without re-typing the job card?
Yes - that’s the core of it. The invoice is generated from the job card in one click, with every parts and labour line carried across exactly as recorded.
Can customers pay by card at the counter?
Yes. Hoist supports in-shop card payments, so the invoice can be settled at pickup and the payment flows through to your accounts.
Can I split an invoice between a customer and an insurer?
Yes. Add the insurer as a payer on the work order, choose who pays for which job or line when you generate the invoice, and Hoist creates one invoice per payer. If there is an excess, enter it once and it comes off the insurer’s invoice and onto the customer’s.
Does invoicing sync with Xero?
Yes - natively and two-way. Invoices appear in Xero automatically and payments reconcile back against the job. No exports, no connectors.
